About This Project
City Haven Apartment sits high above Brisbane City — a compact urban footprint transformed into a calm, contemporary retreat for a professional couple.
The brief was clear: elevate the apartment into something serene, spacious, and beautifully functional, with a focus on timeless materials and clever storage that supports everyday living.
Because the original layout felt closed-in and visually heavy, we re-imagined the interior from the ground up. Lighter flooring, a warm neutral palette, and refined joinery lines now give the apartment a soft, effortless flow. Every room was redesigned with purpose, ensuring the home feels luxurious without being loud — a quiet luxury approach that speaks strongly to TID Studio’s signature aesthetic.
Kitchen & Dining Design
The kitchen is the heart of this apartment — a sculptural space where natural stone, warm timber veneer, and subtle brass accents come together.
A dramatic stone island becomes the focal point, balancing function with visual impact. Clean-lined cabinetry hides appliances, creating calm, uninterrupted surfaces. The dining zone sits comfortably by the windows, capturing city views while maintaining an intimate, elegant atmosphere.
Living Room Interior Design
The open living area was designed to feel soft, airy, and textural. Low-profile seating, layered neutrals, and a custom stone coffee table ground the space without overwhelming the apartment’s footprint. Curves appear throughout — in furniture, joinery, and decor — softening the geometry of the high-rise architecture and reinforcing a sense of calm.
Study / Home Office
This apartment’s study is compact but highly considered.
A custom full-height joinery wall integrates storage, shelving, and a concealed desk zone, creating a refined work environment with city views. Soft lighting and tactile finishes make the space feel warm and grounded — ideal for working from home in calm, uncluttered surroundings.
Bathrooms
Both the main bathroom and ensuite were fully redesigned to elevate function and aesthetic.
Marble-inspired tiles, brushed brass fixtures, and custom vanities give the spaces a luxurious boutique-hotel feel. Careful attention was placed on lighting and storage, ensuring both bathrooms feel bright, spacious, and effortlessly enjoyable to use.
